Eqvalan Gold is the broadest-spectrum dewormer available in Canada. It combines two active ingredients – ivermectin and praziquantel – to provide comprehensive, broad-spectrum parasite treatment for your horses. Eqvalan Gold is registered to treat 63 species and stages of equine internal parasites including worms, bots, and tapeworms.

As with all de-wormers, it is recommended to use de-wormers with different active ingredients every time you de-worm your horse.  Also take into consideration that different times of the year bring different sets of worms and some de-wormers are better at dealing with them than others.

As a General Rule:

January/February or July/August: Pyrantel

March/April or September/October:  Moxidectin

May/June or November/December:  Ivermectin
