Biotin is one of the eight water soluble B-complex vitamins. It is not stored in the body. Horses have bacteria in the hind gut which can synthesize some Biotin, but any additional biotin needed must be supplied in the daily diet. Your horse’s body uses B vitamins in connective tissue maintenance, especially keratin which is found in the hooves, haircoat and skin. For improved immunity available with Zinc, Copper and manganese.
